A community weather outlook
Volunteers of America will host Soup for a Cause tomorrow November 7th from 5-7 pm. It is the organizations signature fundraising event and raises funds for Rapid City Area Services such as Mommy’s Closet and the Veterans Outreach Center. The event will take place in the Fine Arts Building at the Central States Fairground. Over 40 types of soups will be featured, along with there being games, prizes, and a local band.
As for the weather, while temperatures are expected to increase and conditions dry it will still be quite chilly at the time of the event, making it a perfect night for a soup. Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high of 40° and a low of 26° with calm southerly winds.
At the time of the event, temperatures will be in the low 30s, but overall it will be a beautiful day and things will only improve as we get into the weekend. There should be no impacts to travel, just be sure to dress warm, bring your appetite, and get ready to have a super time!
